    Thick protective pad with firm surface and good table grippage. I ordered this padded table cloth to put underneath a decorative cloth in order to protect my hardwood table prior to hosting a party. The cloth is thick and sturdy and the appearance is quite nice. While the description says that you can trim the edges, I chose not to, as I felt like the pad drapped nicely over the edges (I ordered a slightly larger size with the intention of trimming down) and provided additional padding/protection for the edges. The surface is firm, so I had no issues with dishes sinking in or tipping. The pad gripped the table well and I did not have any issues with slippage or sliding. 5Perfect Table Pad This is exactly what I wanted.The packaging did not compress the folded table pad so the folds laid flat immediately under my damask table cloth. There was sufficient overhang (I ordered the 108 inch pad) for my table cloth to drape nicely. I plan to order another one to fit my table length without additional leaves. The padding was perfect protection for my tabletop and the vinyl top is securely waterproof. Great product for the price. 5Always good to have on hand I love this table cover for many reasons. I've used it in storage to protect furniture that I stacked. I also use it on my Pottery Barn adjustable standing desk to protect the wood when I cut out sewing patterns. I use it on my dining table to protect wood when I've had a buffet dinner. it's a great size and can be cut to fit if need be. When I'm not using it, it folds easily for storage. 5Not what I expected I expected a much thicker table pad based on the product picture, but what I got was a lot thinner.I read reviews saying it does not slip, but mine does. I have it on a solid wood dining table. My kids will do crafts and sit with their elbows on the table, and it slides around. I'm constantly having to shift it back in place.Otherwise, it is felt on one side, and a good, wipe able vinyl on the other side, as advertised. I would not place hot items on this without a trivet. 2Too thin Disappointed. Very thin. The picture I uploaded is my current table pad on the left (purchased a few years ago at Costcofor about $10 more than this one.); this pad is on the right. As you can see from the pic, this pad is MUCH thinner. I would not trust it to protect my new table from heat. The padding is just not thick enough, and also not dense enough. I will be returning it. Does not match the picture!The picture makes it look like it would be close to 1/4" thick, but the item that arrived was about 1/16".It is just a very basic padded vinyl, which I could have bought at a local cloth shop for a whole lot less money.This one is going back... 1Great pad for protecting wooden table Had noticed that my regular tablecloth was not really protecting my wooden dinner table as some heat and spill damage was evident. Decided to purchase a pad to provide a true layer of protection. This pad is perfect. The soft underlining sits against the table and the top layer is a waterproof vinyl. It was super easy to cut to customize to desired shape. Runs true to size. Highly recommend! 5Nice tablepad This is a table pad similar to your Grandma's vinyl tablecloth but much heavier. Easy to cut to size for oval tables. 5Don't soften the folds in the dryer!! After cutting it to size, the tablecloth would not lay flat on the table due to the folds in the vinyl. So, I placed in in the dryer for no longer than 5 minutes just to soften the tablecloth so it would lay flat without creases. It shrunk about 1 inch on each side. 1
