Does the job
I was having a problem with my scrubbie getting a mildew smell. Yuk! Nothing would get ride of the smell except bleach. I don't like the smell of bleach and it deteriorates the sponge. Then I tried an old bath cloth, but it got that same smell just as quickly. I realized the fabric had to be airy in order to stay clear of that odor. I looked in stores and couldn't find any. I found them on live and ordered them through Amazon. They came sooner that expected. These dish cloths are oversized. The fabric is definitely airy. Having 12 of them is plenty. The cloths only got a smell (and boy it was terrible) after someone didn't rinse it out after use. The price I consider reasonable. I would recommend this product to my friends and family.
5I would agree...world's best dish cloth
I would agree...world's best dish cloth. They are two-ply, which at first I thought was a very bad idea, but they dry quickly and are very light-weight. They are soft and easy to wring dry. Because they are two-ply they are somewhat "bulky" in hand when wet, which is great for hands with arthritis. They contact a lot of dish surface when washing so they are very efficient and satisfying. I bought a second box for gifts I liked them so much.
5Best Dish Cloth in 65 Years!
We are old folks and we've used a lot of different types of dish clothes in our lives - and we both really like these dish cloths - better than any others! They are substantial, yet not too much. They work well on everything from silverware to pots and pans. They just do a really good job - - -feel good in your hands - wash up nicely - - - and there are 12 of them! There are enough to last for many years. We highly recommend these!
5Great product. It's the only dish cloth I like to use.
I've been using this brand for many years. They are still made well and are great for getting the dishes clean. They last a year or two. They are just right. Not too big. Not too small. Not too soft. Just great all round cloths.
5I thought I would hate these. If you wash them first they take ...
When I first opened the box, I thought I would hate these. If you wash them first they take on the perfect shape and now I am going to order more. I love that they do not get moldy smelling like other dish clothes and they are the perfect texture and size.
5Love these! Would buy them again.
I purchased these over a year ago, and love them. I wring my dish clothes dry and change them every or every-other day, but most begin to smell over time. These do not. They have some sort of plastic-like material woven into the fabric, which improves scrubbing. However, if you wipe a hot stove with them, the synthetic material will adhere to your cooktop. (Stovetop cleaner will remove it, but that's an additional hassle...just wait for the stove to cool, and tell your inner neat-freak to settle down.) As others have said, these hold a lot of water, but I find I can wring them well enough to wipe down the table and counters without leaving smears. When you receive them, you may be discouraged about their appearance. They look like an unfinished sweater, with uneven stitching. After a year of daily use, none of my cloths have raveled, and are holding up well.
5Don't bother
There is nothing "best" about these. I was going to return them but they accidentally got thrown in the wash so I gave them a try. They might be going in the trash.First off all they are cheaply cut and finished. The geometric pattern makes it really obvious that the fabric isn't cut straight, and the stitching on the ends has strings hanging off. They are a knit fabric which has a bit of bounce and stretch to it, so when you try to wring it out, it's awkward, and it flops around and makes a big mess if you're not super careful while washing dishes. The cotton/ poly blend is too smooth to have any scrubbing power, and doesn't hold on to suds. I find myself using more soap and more elbow grease compared to cotton terry cloths. You are better off with sponges or bar mops.
2Almost Grandma's Dish Clothes
The ads for these say they are just like Grandma used to use. Well almost. As I have one of Grandma's left, I did a comparison. These dish cloths are made cheaper out of cheaper material, but what today is not. They are a good copy of the real ones. They work just like the old ones, wash up good, and are great for clean up. My main complaint...they do not hold their shape after washing. And with all that said I would still buy these dish cloths because they are the closest thing to the ones my Grandma used. They are so much better than any other dish cloth out there!
4A gift from my past
These were inexpensive but the quality was very much like the ines I remember from the ladies fundraisers my mother in law used to give to me as a Christmas gift. I've been missing them ever since I had to consign the last of them to the rag bag and these were like a gift from the past. They are soft, sturdy and good at getting the dishes clean. They do stain easily but they don't hold onto bad odors or fall apart quickly.
5Don't buy! Cheap knock-off
These are just terrible!! Can't really even use them for cleaning rags. They are nylon or polyester, NOT COTTON! They are a cheap nock-off of a wonderful cotton cloth I was given by a friend. I thought they were the same thing, because of their appearance, but they are not. I do NOT recommend buying them.
