    Poor condition upon arrivalThe erasers are all quite dried out and tough to use (usually brand new 'my first Ticonderoga pencil' erasers are soft and mailable). These have rust marks up near the erasers, and the box is badly damaged. None of the pencils are broken, they are all sharpened, so those things are good. Overall highly disappointed that I cannot clean off the rusty marks all over the tops of the pencils (it won't wipe away) and the erasers are no good. 1Bible readers Rejoice!As a researcher, I'm always looking for a writing utensil that will under-line and erase easily on delicate papers. This one is it! And the price compared to anything else is only pennies. Bible readers, if you don't want to highlight and you want to sharpen to a fine point; try these. I use a crank handle manual sharpener just like the ones in grade school. It lets me feel the cut as I sharpen and these will allow a fine point. Buy them from Amazon by the dozen unless you can get them for less than $0.50 each some place. 5LOVE THESE PENCILS Ever since I bought these for my ...LOVE THESE PENCILSEver since I bought these for my daughter when she started school (she's 16 now) I have been using them for my job as a construction electrician.Regular pencils: the lead points break too easily leading you to cut down the length too quickly from always making a new point; they brake too easily in your pocket; and it becomes too difficult to "feel" for it in your pocket leading you to sometimes think you lost it.Carpenter pencils: I find then too be made too cheaply... They brake too easily compared too their size; they have no eraser.Ticonderoga fat pencils: EXCELLENT QUALITY...I haven't had one brake on me yet; the thicker lead holds a point longer; it has an eraser; I can find it ("feel") easily in my pocket due to the thickness.Only drawback: they're sometimes difficult to find when I need to buy a new pack... Wish they would start marketing them for the blue collar types and sell them wherever you can buy carpenter pencils. 5Good pencils for my shop workI use these for wood construction marking in my shop instead of the harder to use/sharpen flat pencils at the big box stores which I never have any luck with due to breaking the "lead" when sharpening. Only downside for my use of this Ticonderoga pencil is it will roll easily since it is round with no flat spots to stop a roll, which is not the fault of this intended design but how I choose to use them. 4Best quality and lasts!Ticonderoga pencils - primary size 2 for beginners are the best! As an educational administrator I make sure my primary age teachers (Pre K - 2nd grade and special education) have these. They are a little more costly - but the quality makes them worth it mainly because the pencils are not "eaten up" by the pencil sharpener to maintain a point. The larger size fits the hands of smaller children as they are mastering the art of holding a pencil and learning to write. 5Great large pencils for kids just starting out in schoolI got these pencils for my five-year-old that's going to school. She's having a hard time writing with standard pencils so I searched through Amazon trying to find a pencil that was a little thicker easier to use for a little hands and after reading several reviews I found this was the best option I'm very pleased with the product I feel it's a great pencil for anybody that has the has kids just starting school. 5DamagedThey are great for kindergartners. The cost was good too for how many pencils come in the box however my box was damaged and the pencils were pre sharpened but due to the damage of the box most of the tips were broken. I wasn't very happy about that because since they are wider pencils they wouldn't work in my regular pencil sharpener so my daughter had to bring them to school like that and sharpen all of them in the sharpener in the classroom. 3They hold up, easy to find. write well,big great big sturdy yellow pencils. easy to spot under beds in couches.don't snap into 100 pieces (yet...)I grab it all the time to jot down a note.I need a better sharperner than I have,I like the more obtuse point that comes in the box than my X-Acto TeacherPro, which is a fantastic workhorse of a sharpener. just a bit pointy for toddlers...will buy again.thank you 5Magical PencilsI use these with a wide variety of my students, from kindergarteners, to students with dyslexia, to students with sensory processing to students who need a confidence boost and think Mrs. N s magical Pencil makes writing hurt less and makes them write better. All of them have loved it. These magical pencils work wonders. Loved that they are #2 as well so kiddos can use them on standardized testing with no issues. Will always have a stash of these in my office. 5Great Size (Width) for the Young UserPencils are wide enough for Pre-K/K age hands. Kids enjoy the ability to have better control (for their age) of writing utensil. Make sure there s an adjustable size sharpener around before you get these. Kids go through tips each week & erasers should have additional large pink eraser(s) handy as well. Definitely will buy these again, if/when we make it through box. 5
