Easier than expected to install, looks beautiful!I used my Rabitgoo film on my bathroom window to avoid having to provide privacy and keep the natural light coming through. It looks beautiful on the window (hides the view of my neighbor's house) and lets in all the natural light. I chose the pebble pattern because we have a "pebble river" in our shower tile (photo left), and it accents that nicely. I'm notoriously bad at cutting and measuring accurately, but I was able to get this installed on my own with no rework. Just follow the video instructions, and it works like a dream! I cut the film about 1/2 inch larger than the window size, then cut it down at the edge with an xacto knife after installation. To match the pattern (my window was wider than the film), I found the pattern repeat and lined up the second piece so that it overlapped the first with the patterns matched, then cut off the overlap after installation. I had some cutting issues at this last step because my knife wasn't quite sharp enough to cut through both layers without pulling on the film, but the film was pretty forgiving and these errors aren't visible unless you are standing a couple inches from the window and looking for them. It was very easy to get all the bubbles out, and after a week, I haven't seen any peeling back, so hopefully it will stay installed with no issues or contracting in the upcoming weather changes. 5Love, love, LOVE the rabbitgoo!My dining room window looks out into my apartment s alleyway. All the kids in the neighborhood hang out under my window. So not only do I have an ugly view, but lots of kids who can see in as I go about my business. And I HATE blinds, but I always had to keep them pulled, because I didn t want the kids or neighbors watching me while I was in my home. Finally I decided to get some stained glass to increase the sunlight in the dining room while still maintaining my privacy.After hemming, hawing, and reading all the reviews, I chose the rabbitgoo Pebble Glass pattern. It s pretty, right? I was a little concerned that some people said you could still sorta see through it, but I decided to give it a shot.When I got the rolls (I needed two), it was CLEAR. I mean, textured, but clear not frosted the way that it looks in the photos. That had me worried, but I really love this pattern, so I was willing to make it work.It worked. Because my windows were wide, putting the film up was a bit like hanging wallpaper much easier with two people, but one patient person could manage.I ve posted some photos so you can get an idea, but basically you can still see a vaguely human shape on the other side, but you cannot make out any details. And when the sun shines through just right, it throws rainbows all over the walls.If you want to use this for a bathroom (or you re a nudist) nosy and/or attentive people will be able to tell that there is an unclothed person there, but they won t be able to see details at all. I guess it s up to you what your comfort level with that is.Overall, I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase.Photos are my unadulterated view, and with one window partially complete so you can compare. These were taken in the daylight. I ve also provided night time pics, both inside with my hanging light on and from the outside, with my husband modeling, backlit with the same light. 5Perfect for my needs...This is beautiful! I'm so happy with it. I simply measured the window and customized my piece, wet the window with soapy water, removed the backing, sprayed the piece with plain water and stuck it to the window. After that a quick squeegee and done! I used the quick tutorial that you scan off the box which made it so simple to understand. Now I have the muted light I want and ditched the ugly curtain that was here when we moved in (rental). I'm considering using this on my slider as well rather than blinds. 5Beautiful privacy and sun prism!Okay I ll break this down into a few categories:PrivacyI bought this primarily for privacy, as I live in a high-foot traffic area and don t like people looking in my windows. It works great during the day and night. I wouldn t recommend relying solely on this film if you want utter privacy, but it SIGNIFICANTLY improves. I attached a picture from the outside of my place looking in at night; one window with film and one without.AestheticGorgeous and classic. Landlord approved. He was skeptical that it would look tacky and wanted me to get blackout curtains instead, but I insisted that we try it and he was pleasantly surprised.InstallationOkay this was tricky. But ultimately I did all of the windows by myself several weeks ago and they are still up! My tip would be: measure about 1inch outside of the border of your window, cut it out. Then peel off about 5 inches of the backing and fold it down so it makes a nice straight line perpendicular to the direction you re hanging the film. I started top of the window and worked my way down. Smooth out the top 5 inches of the film onto the window, and gently pull the backing straight down keeping your hand as close to the window as possible. As you pull the backing with one hand, smooth the film onto the window with the other. Then take a razor blade to trim off the excess and around any curves (I have an alarm with window sensors so I had to cut around those)Pro tip: if you find that you ve cut a piece too small, you can easily just juxtapose another piece where the gap is. But EVEN IF YOU MATCH THE PATTERN THERE WILL BE A LINE where the two piece meet because the edge of the film acts as a fiber optic and reflects light. It s hardly noticble from more than two feet away and I m personally not bothered by these things. But if you think you re gonna cut a piece multiple times to fit into a window beware that there will be lines, it s better to use one contiguous pieceRenter friendly?Yep. 100%. It would take you 1 second to pull an entire film off if you wanted to.LongevityI ve had the film up for several weeks now, nothing is peeling away from the windows or bubbling. If you clean the windows thoroughly before applying the film, I don t ever think this will be a problem.LightDo not use this if you want to block light. It MAGNIFIES light, which is what I personally wanted for my dark space. It casts a lovely prism on the wallsI would 100% purchase this again. 5Don't depend on the cutting tool in the kit! Get an exacto knife, spray bottle and baby shampoo.I love my ground floor apartment window now! I work from home and wanted the morning light. The vertical blinds I have just didn't provide any privacy. Not sure why I can't add but one photo so I chose the one I liked most! I bought a window film kit from Lowe's and that was a waste! The little scraper squeegee thingy was helpful. I cleaned my Windows with hot water and sudsy ammonia from the dollar tree and then Windex. Just follow the directions it was easy peasy!!! But you will need something really sharp (exacto knife). I used the edge of the squeegee to guide the blade and I had to maneuver around vertical blinds on the last window! Also I noticed while at the big box hardware store that privacy film was 39.99 a roll!!! So I really feel like I got a good deal and it's absolutely beautiful! 5it still looks as beautiful as the day I put it upUsed this in my poorly ventilated bathroom next to my shower/above the toilet. It's a narrow bathroom and curtains make it seem smaller and darker so I needed to find a way to have privacy but also naturally brighten up the room. I've had this on the lower part of the window since February so about 5 months now and it hasn't peeled off or anything from the shower that it is inches away from, it still looks as beautiful as the day I put it up. I may even put it in other rooms just because it lets so much light in, but you can't see into it from outside. It's a great choice for a bathroom. 5Great on mirrors too!I bought this to cover the cracks in my closet doors. I have young children and don't want them getting hurt. It had a beautiful result! I'll be buying more for my bathroom windows. Very easy to use and great quality.***After reading other peoples reviews*** tThe "multicolors" only show up when light is flashed on them (must apply for full effect, the film looks completely different once on the final surface). Also, it will NOT stick if you don't peel the backing off (read the directions printed on the inside of the box).Update: I loved this pattern and quality so much I bought another roll and used it on my dining area windows. I like the light from my windows, but they lead right to my back porch. Sometimes at night I get creeped out by the darkness, so this is a great solution! Love it!!!! 5Pleasantly surprisedActually looks really nice. I thought it would be cheap looking but was impressed. Easy to install. Make sure you have a razor blade to cut it. I purchased the kit with the spray and scraper and all that and found it really isn't necessary if you have Windex and a box cutter. The scraper was helpful but a credit card would work just as well. 5Easy option for a little privacyI used this in our guest bath window and laundry window, both turned out great! The laundry window needed an extra 6 inch strip, which I was weary about, but I googled the method of overlapping and slicing and the seam is perfect. The "rocks" don't line up perfectly if you're staring at the seam but to an unknowing eye, it's difficult to notice. I've attached pictures of both windows, can you see the seam? I used a shower squeegee, exacto knife, soapy water in a spray bottle and a straight edge ruler. Another hint is using tape to pull the film away from the plastic. Two pieces on one corner and then pull them away from each other. Happy tinting! 5Wonderful product. Made my door look new againI originally bought this to cover up some scratches on the glass on our back door from the dog repeatedly jumping up on it when she sees squirrels outside. It did a wonderful job covering that up. The door looks brand new and the dog no longer jumps on the door since she can't see out as well. (She does have other windows to look out of). This was very easy to install. Cleaned the windows with Windex, measured the windows, cut the film, peeled the backing slowly as I went down the window, and used a credit card to rub out any air bubbles as I was doing it. Took about an hour and 20 minutes to do the entire door. 5
