Customer Reviews
Stylish, good quality.
These fit our martini and coupe glasses perfectly. We also camp with small 5-oz shatter resistant glass "cocktail glasses" and although they do not nest perfectly on them the way they do on our martini and coupe glasses, they work well there as well. Very happy with my purchase.
5Ideal martini picks (also good for pinning up a stuffed turkey)
These are the ideal martini picks. I much prefer the simple round knobs on these to the novelty picks with martini glasses or other random stuff. The knob is also just big enough that it won't fit through the grate in my dishwasher's silverware holder, which makes them really easy to wash. They are not as sharp as a wooden toothpick, so you won't be cleaning your teeth with them, but they pierce an almond-stuffed olive just fine. I would get as many as you have martini glasses, a dozen (2 sets) is a good number.EDIT: I have now also used these picks on multiple occasions to pin up a turkey after stuffing or a rolled pork loin when roasting. They work great for this and remain easy to clean. They are pretty useful little stainless steel skewers.
5Aaaahh!
I am retired and drink far fewer Martinis than I did when trying to stay sane while working for the Federal Government. Having said that, when I need a Martini, I usually feel I need one badly. These help. They are decorative and sharp enough to skewer the toughest pickled onion.. Those who subscribe to the school of the Martini as a cocktail that comes with free Hors d'oeuvres will find them capacious enough for multiple olives, cocktail onions, tomolives, etc.
5Fun Product, worth the money
If you like martinis, either when serving or imbibing, there are several non-negotiables imo. Firstly, the taste must be to your liking, secondly the liquid should be ice cold (with no floating pieces of ice), and thirdly, it should have a good presentation. Unfortunately this does not always happen when you go out. If you value a nice presentation, these are for you. The picks are well made, perfectly sized and easy to clean. So far we have used them to skewer blackberries, raspberries, lemon slices and wedges, grapes, olives and chocolate truffles. They do not span across the rim of our glasses but rather dip into the glass with the point at the glass bottom and the top of the pick balanced on the rim.All of our guests have commented on them-they appreciate that little bit of extra effort. And of course the drink tastes better : )So unless you are popping a couple of olives in your mouth and swigging out of the bottle you may be interested in these. Highly recommended to add a little more fun to the evening.
5Cheers! ;0)
Cute, sturdy, and practical - these little guys will work for any cocktail accent. The metal point is not sharp (read: will not cut you or pose a hazard even if mildly intoxicated) but are perfect for stabbing through fruits or veggies. They wash up easily by hand. At only about 4" long, they fit well in a small cocktail glass but would be overwhelmed by anything much larger. If you're planning fishbowl sized margaritas, you probably want something larger (like a pool noodle!), but for most glasses they'll be just right.
5drunks beware!
got these to help folks tell which was their drink. However, they are enormous, and even with the counterweight of an olive, will tip out of the glass, or poke an unwary drunk, and I can't guarantee what that drunk might do after having been poked. Still looking for an alternative to pipe stem cleaners, which classy drunks mercilessly mock.
2Love the fun themed design of the toppers and are ...
Love the fun themed design of the toppers and are nice looking. Length of the stick is short for a deep bowl and larger martini glass - stick barely comes to rim of glass so topper does not show over the top and makes it a bit harder to pick up out of the glass. Hate having to stick your fingers into a drink to fish it out! Wish they had longer length options for the fun and pretty martini glass other then just the traditional standard bar types.
3Poke some Olives with these :-)
I got these as a gift for a friend. He received them in the mail today (along with some glasses I ordered to go with them) and he was very pleased with the "Cocktail" version of this set. If he can't poke his wife, he can always use these to poke some olives and drown his sorrows in a martini or other tasty beverage, ha ha.
5A classy touch for your martinis!
A nice way to add a little class to your martinis when you're hosting. I've had these for over 2 years now. They have a solid weight about them. Stainless steel picks are every bit as sharp and shiny as they were when I first got them. The assortment of different pewter heads is a nice touch. Half of them grip or rest snugly against the edge of the glass, preventing them from slipping down into your drink - the two olives, the jigger, and the lime wedge. They can all easily fit 3 large olives. Not sure if they're dishwasher safe so I've always just hand washed them to err on the side of caution. They look nice with the set of glasses I use and are a good blend of novelty and functionality. Would definitely recommend. Worth the price! Added an image of the olive pick for a visual.
5PRETTY & NICELY WROUGHT - I'LL DRINK TO THAT.
These are the perfect length for my Crate & Barrel "Liz" martini glasses. And the various colors allow drinkers to keep tabs on their own glass, incase anyone is foolish enough to have a few. My only slight reservation is that the points are really sharp. I mean REALLY sharp. So if you ARE having a few, you'll want to be careful not to injure yourself.
