    Smaller than expected, would order larger next time. I don't know what I was expecting, but this is not a very large container. When making items, I have to dig to the bottom just to find colors needed. It doesn't seem like this will last long term, maybe get like 10-20 projects out of it. I wish I saw the huge size when I ordered, I would have ordered the 22,000 one for a much better price. I did Pearler beads as a child, bought them for my daughter for her birthday today and was a bit disappointed in the amount. Maybe to seasoned Pearler beaders, this is a great deal, but I find it lacking. Wouldn't order again unless it was for a gift for someone else and I desired to stay around $10. I'd rather splurge and spend 20 on 22,000. If you look at a close up of the photo, you can see that 1/3 of the container is taken up by a cardboard insert holding the peg boards. Once you remove that, the beads fill just over half the container. 3For all ages!! Love it!! It`s fun! My daughter`s after school care and summer camp both had used this item as activity, so i finally bought it and she was thrilled (she is 8yrs old). Now she plays with her friends and by herself, as well as I even sit down and play with her. Most importantly, it allows kids use their imagination and do their creations.She made whole bunch of her favorite minecraft characters. It`s a great crafts for all ages and family fun. I also bought additional beads(22000 counts) and Pegboards for her. I highly recommend this product. 5GREAT FOR CRAFT LOVERS! 6 YEAR OLD LOVES IT! My daughter is hugely into arts and crafts. She just celebrated her 6th birthday and received these as a gift. She was thrilled...and sat down to start working right away. I loved Perler beads as a kid and it's so much fun to watch her enjoying them too!This is a really large tub of beads. I attached a photo for size reference. I don't know exactly how many projects you could make, but probably at least 25. It comes with 5 different shaped peg boards and 6000 multi colored beads. It's a mix of bold, pastel, and slightly opaque beads. It also comes with instructions and a small sheet of ironing paper. You could also use parchment paper if needed.These are great for making key chains, trinkets for friends, ornaments, window hangers, coasters, even photo frames. I love that the projects can be as intricate or as random as you'd like. Even as an adult I have fun setting these up!There are a zillion combos of Perler beads out there, but this one is definitely a great deal. After we make our way through this bucket I'm sure we'll get another one! 5Best $8 ever spent! If I could give this kit 10 stars, I would! We bought this for our 4-almost-5 year olds for Christmas, and it has kept them entertained for DAYS. It's literally their favorite gift...for $8 !!! It's the first thing they ask to do in the morning and right away after school. The mess of dropped beads hasn't been nearly as bad as I anticipated. I was also worried that they wouldn't have the manual dexterity to work with the small beads, but they do great with it. Best $8 I've ever spent on these kids. 5Great starter pack! This is a great starter pack! My 4.5 year old twins have been making things every single day! They sometimes need a little help finding certain colors but other than that they do great on their own making the patterns. There are LOTS of beads in this small-ish container. We have run out of a few colors already because we made specific patterns (for example there are no more white because we made a cow pattern for one of their friends) but there is lots of variety and plenty to make lots more. There are lots of variation in color too which is nice (mostly, except when one of them can't find the specific color they want!!). I've made a few too as it brings me back to my childhood! I believe as a kid my mom only ironed one side. We've done most on both sides but a couple on only one side and both seem to be good. I'll definitely be buying some more soon because it's a great quiet afternoon craft! 57 year old crafting daughter loves it! My 7 year old daughter LOVES doing this. It is a very reasonable price for something that keeps her attention for so long. She has made quite a few really cute creations with it. I like that it requires so much focus, counting, and fine motor skills to copy a pattern onto the board. I would recommend getting more boards (Perler makes boards in all kinds of shapes) to go with it and the special tweezers that Perler sells. Makes it SOOOOOO much easier to manipulate the beads. I would be tempted to knock a star off because the ones that I have ironed to fuse the beads together have not worked out very well. I am aware though that my technique is not very good, but has improved a little with each one she finishes. Maybe I need to watch a couple youtube videos to master it. 5Five stars! I decided my kids needed a new non-Minecraft-related hobby, so I bought the Perler bucket. My 6yr old daughter is very artistic and creative, but my 5yr old son hates art/crafts of any kind, and they BOTH absolutely loved putting together their melty bead creations. I should probably point out that I did also buy a two-pack of the oversized tweezers to help with placing the beads. Even small fingers had a difficult job of putting them in the desired place without knocking the peg board and scattering beads everywhere. There is a decent variety of peg boards in the bucket, and a good assortment of different colored beads. We found that we used some colors more than others, so I have ordered a few packs of single colors online, which I will store in their own color-specific container. Indeed, probably the worst thing about the bucket is fishing around for ages looking for the single color you are using at that particular time. Anyway, this is a great activity that is creative, but also requires a lot of patience and control. 5Creative fun This is a great, and cheap, creative activity for kids. (The ironing to melt the beads together might need to be done by adults depending on the kid). For that matter they are fun for adults. If you like 8 bit Nintendo you can find patterns for just about all your favorite old Nintendo characters on the internet. The beads are the perfect medium for recreating those characters because they are about the same resolution as they were on your TV back in the day. (Just use Google to find the patterns. They are easy to follow) You can even put your designs into acrylic molds and make coasters! It's surprisingly not hard to do this. The hardest part is finding a mold that's a good shape. The beads melt perfectly under low heat from an iron. USE THE PAPER AS A BARRIER BETWEEN THE IRON AND THE BEADS!!! If you run out of the paper that comes in the bucket, you can use parchment paper from your local grocery store. If you are getting this for kids, 5 years old is probably the minimum age where a kid can really do this as a project. 5My kids love it these beads and the crafts they can make ... My kids love it these beads and the crafts they can make with them. I have bought many different buckets, the colors are always beautiful and the beads are always uniform and well made. It is also a great idea to buy some of the large clear square peg boards and search Pinterest or Google for free printable Perler bead designs. There are a zillion out there. These keep my kids very busy and very happy (9 and 5 yo). I would not recommend this craft for kids under 4, they do not seem to have the dexterity to manipulate the beads even in a random pattern. The beads can get messy if you spend a lot of time crafting, but are so easy to sweep up. Very affordable for a fun afternoon of crafting! 5Great craft for young kids and adults alike- great rainy day idea! My 4 year old daughter and I do lots of crafty things and she's very into beads and jewelry and that sort, so I thought we'd have fun with these. She finds it a little tedious but enjoys the endless creative options. Once I showed her how it worked, she was off making all different flowers and rainbows. It took considerably longer than 10-20 seconds for the beads to melt under our iron though; more like 40-60, and I changed the heat setting 3x. Once we got the hang of it, it was fine. Just wish the kit had included a pair of tweezers. It is a bit of a pain sweeping through all the beads to find a color on account of the size, but we made that work too. The color variety is awesome! Very happy with that, and the shapes of the peg boards. Should keep us busy for quite a while.For the price, I've very satisfied with this kit and expect to be buying more soon! 5
