    Just what I was looking forSo I am a little strange and did not order this for its actual purpose.At work I shift from time zone to time zone and am having trouble learning and keeping track of them. I have a giant map, the likes of what you have in a school classroom... it is located in a place I have to turn almost all the way around to see, not useful.I took a permanent marker and drew the time zones on the laminant and pinned this just to my left so all I have to do is glance sideways a little bit and I can easily see it.On a side note I also got four cute little cube digital clocks and they fit perfectly under each time zone - Score!A lot of the major cities are located on the map, which is great because I deal with a lot of them and sometimes you lose track of where in the state some of them actually are.Also was perfect that AZ is yellow because I was able to easily write through it that March - Nov they are PST and Nov - March they are MTN time.So yeah, I'm super thrilled with this for what I bought it for.It'd make a cool placemat too! 5Very nice tool at the table!Sturdy. Easy to clean. All places are clearly labeled. Works for reviewing purposes or as introductory material.For detailed study, you should get a bigger and more detailed map. I did a lot of search before buying this. For the price, I can tell you this is the most accurate map you can come across. 5U S Map PlacematI actually bought this for my mother who has memory impairment. I circled all the places she's lived and talked about over the years. She loves it, and loves being able to point to the places that have been important in her life. Excellent quality and good price and service. 5Durable and Fun for Kids!My kids love these. Their uncle travels often and we get the placemat maps of whatever area he s going to and then they find the countries and cities he visits. They ve learned a ton... during dinner! The quality seems good, I don t put them in the dishwasher but they just wipe down as well as the rest of the table or get sprayed off in the sink. We ve got quite a few and they ve held up well over the last few years. None are damaged in any way that I can see. I d guess at least 6 months of daily use per mat? We do rotate them. 5GoodIt's really good since its like plastic so it's easy to clean and the only way I could think it could break is if my dog chewed it up or I cut it with scissors or something like that. I just don't think this is a good gift because who would want this on their birthday or something. I mean if it's like hey here's some free stuff then I guess so. 5Great for learningWe bought this to go along with American history books we're reading this year. Although my daughter already knows the states and capitals I thought it might be fun to match up locations we we're reading about. We use dry erase markers to note areas and it wipes right off. Another plus is that it doesn't take up tons of room so we can store it on the shelf easily. 5Honest review from a 9 year old using this almost every dayI bought this map for my 9 year old granddaughter to use when she is at my house. This is her honest review of the map of the USA.......I love this map so much! I learned to say the states in alphabetical order so my grandma and I thought it would be good to point out the states in alphabetical order. It helped me learn the states and it keeps the crumbs from falling every where. It's really nice to have. 5Love these PlacemapsI love my "PLACEMAPS!" (Yes, they're placemaps not merely place mats!!) They provide a great and painless way to teach the geography of Mexico and Central America to children learning about the area and to adults whose exposure to geography was in the distant past. These durable, plastic coated placemats even have a map on the reverse lacking the the labels on the front which allow one to test the developing knowledge of the targets of these teaching tools. (As a teacher, I appreciate the opportunity to test my own and others' knowledge.) 5Excellent map for learning at the table. Kids love it!We love having a variety of placemats that promote learning for our kids. While they are sitting & eating is a prime learning opportunity.
