You get what you pay for....pass on these. Don't waste your money. No! Just no. These are cheap, cheap, cheap....you get what you pay for. Sad to say but I think these would have looked better if they were in fact made of iridescent plastic. These are not iridescent and are very poorly made. They have some kind of coating on them that attempts to be iridescent but it just makes them look awful. I can't recommend these at all. Sent them back the very next day. 1Just OK Like others have written before me, I received one snowflake broken and out came the Krazy Glue. The iridescence also wasn't what I expected (it's very subtle) and I question the quality of the glass. If the price was $8. less I'd say go for it.... but these were too expensive for my taste. Instead of putting them on my tree, I tied them onto Xmas gifts with a bow. Friends and family seemed to like the added touch, so they didn't go to waste.Hope this review was helpful. 3Incorrect description These ornaments are advertised as "Glass", they are not! On the box they are described as "Crystal". They are plastic. Two were broken in the box. I am disappointed with this product! 2Way Too Breakable These are quite pretty, though not as clear and sparkly as I had hoped. However, I still would have rated them 4 stars if not for the "fragility factor." The first box I ordered came with one broken ornament. I returned that box only to break one in new box while putting them on the tree. :( I was taking two out of the box, and as I laid one of them down, it broke...and I did not set it down hard at all. I'm pretty used to ALL ornaments being fairly fragile, but these are exceptionally so. I also own several sets of the Kurt Adler icicles, and although they are also somewhat fragile, they are much less so than these. I've had them for several years now, and have only had one break. I have to say, I like those better, and I would not order more of these. 1Pretty glass snowflakes Upon receiving these snowflakes, none were broken, yay! I expected they would be by the reviews but to my surprise, they were not. They are made of glass as they ting when they bumped a bulb. They have a coating, I assume, that makes them iridescent and makes them feel plasticy. Some do look like flowers, the others look like thick snowflakes. They are pretty still. I want to hang them in the window, somehow, to let the light play on them. Just be sure to be careful when unpacking. The front and sides of the carton can open to reveal the foam slit packing. The slats of foam bend open and the snowflake isn't compromised. 4Disappointed. Horrible. They say hand blown, but they are actually poured glass out of molds, with a few hand blown circles where you attach the hanger to hang on the tree. Some of them that were "under poured" in the mold had sharp edges, so sharp, I wouldn't let a child gang them. Five others broke where it was hand blown when we tied a nylon string instead of metal. Really disappointed. 1Delicate, non-repeat designs; poor manufacturing The size and shapes here are delicate and lovely. I wish the manufacturing were so. The quality of glass seems fine, but there are excess wings of glass (on even the sturdier flakes) that cheapen the look of the ornament.It s a similar effect as when a plastic toy is made, but the seams of where the structure was joined have wings or extra seepage of material that can only be cut off or sanded down.Another disappointment was the glaze; I ordered the clear, AB polished ornaments for an iridescent look. Between an opaquely coated AB polish and the excess glass at the seams of the ornaments, these light, little flakes look more like a plastic a dollar store ornament than a delicate glass charm, of the quality I expect of Kurt Adler ornaments. Especially for the price. 2Three Stars Not as big as I expected them to be.. A little dissapointed 3Exstatic when unboxing!!! Product arrived and was exactly what I expected despite plenty of bad reviews. The packaging was exceptional and both my sets arrived unscathed (maybe I'm just lucky). They complement my other ornaments well. The iridescence is applied with an acid bath of some sort I believe which left a few pieces slightly foggy looking in spots but maybe 4 out of 24 and I don't mind since they look almost frost-touched. Very happy with the quality and overall appearance of the pieces; and they aren't all the same which snowflakes shouldn't be. Very cute. 5Broken I had two broken ones when they arrived. 2
