Fine Hand Towel Stand Personally, I don't like hand towel stands but needed one for my new place since putting a holder on the wall wasn't possible. It's good for what it is. I'm not really thrilled with the style of it but it does the job it needs to do and was a good price. If you can spend a little more for a nicer style, then go for it. Otherwise this one is fine. Just long enough for a hand towel without it dragging on the counter. 4Super stylish! I've bought at least 3 if these after seeing them in a family members bathroom. How many times have you been in a bathroom, washed your hands and then looked around trying to find the hand towel? Well not any more! These sits on my bathroom counter (2 bathrooms and in my kitchen) right next to the sink so no one has to try to figure out which towel is for drying hands and I don't have to worry about cleaning up all the drips from people walking around looking for a towel. I am so in love with this thing. How did I ever live without this! 5Nice looking and tall enough for REAL hand towels, but not perfect. We just moved into a new house that has a huge master bathroom with his and hers sinks (which I love) but doesn't have any hand towel racks installed. Rather than drill into the drywall, I thought I'd try one of these to sit on the ample counter space and have a towel on each side (one for his sink, one for hers). It looks nice and is thankfully tall enough (though just barely) to accommodate ACTUAL SIZED HAND TOWELS instead of the glorified wash cloths that most of the other standing hand towel holders like this call hand towels. What is up with that!? Anyway, in function there are a few things that I see as design flaws, but they're not the end of the world.First, I wish it were heavier. It doesn't tip over with heavy full size hand towels on it, but when you try to use said hand towel it doesn't like to stay put. I would love it if they'd make the base at least a little more weighted.Second, the towels slip off too easily when you're using them. The ends of the rods are slightly bent upward but this is not enough to keep them in place. They slide off and you have to hang them back on every time you use them which is annoying but again, not the end of the world.All in all I'm satisfied as it was hard enough finding a standing towel rack that was tall enough for real hand towels and this is. Plus it looks modern and nice. Minor design flaws aside, I'm happy with it. I did NOT receive this item for free or at a discount. Hope this helps! 4Size DOES Matter - Perfect Height! If you have bought other freestanding towel holders and been disappointed by the height -- this may well be your answer. This will hold a regular hand towel well off the counter without problem. I previously had 2 that required fingertip towels to look nice - the shorter height left hand towels partially laying on counter top. I hated the idea of having to track down new fingertip towels while plenty of hand towels sat in the linen closet. This holder is also quite well-balanced and does not tip easily. 5Perfect for hand towels Perfect height for hand towels on my bathroom counter. Stays balanced and doesn't try to fall over when you use it - even when only one side has a towel on it! No complaints! 5Works with regular-sized hand towels and dish towels I bought this for my kitchen counter for regular-sized dish towels, and it works great. The towels do not hang down on the counter. Even works with my large/oversized dish towels; they very lightly brush the counter, but no dragging look. I highly recommend, and would definitely buy again! 5This is a cute towel holder, but I wish ... This is a cute towel holder, but I wish it was 1.5" taller. My hand towel droops onto the counter. 4I can't stand it! This would have been perfect for our needs - if only it were even close to flat on the bottom.I couldn't believe how terribly this was made. The bottom was so uneven that it rocked ~ 1/4" from front to back. I'm surprised it didn't tip over. If we kept it more than a couple days, it probably would have.The good news is that the vendor was fine taking it back, but still; what a waste of time, materials, and shipping. 1Very nice! I bought two of these for my kitchen when we remodeled and didn't really have anyplace to hang the hand-towels rather than just leave them lying on the granite. These stands are great! Seem well constructed, smooth and even finish, flat base. Much more stable than I was expecting - they don't move or topple when taking towels on or off them. Rather than try to fold the towel over the bar we just throw them over the top which keeps them spread out and helps them dry more quickly. 5great fit for purpose, finish is a little odd The finish wasn't as much like brushed nickel as I would have liked - it has some sort of plastic coating on the outside that makes the color a little weird, but I liked the style and functionality enough that I bought 2 of them for 2 different bathrooms. 4
