    HIC Bamboo Toast Tong I am happy with my purchase of this HIC Bamboo Toast Tong, and it now hangs over the plug end at the power receptacle. The size and design are good for grabbing my English muffins from the toaster slots and now I can leave the butter knife on the plate and away from the elements. Added a fifth star, as I use this grip every time I toast my english muffins. 5Good quality, excellent price My mother had a single 12 inch toaster tong and my daughter broke it, accidentally. She purchased this set of tongs at a local high end kitchen shop and she was quite upset when my 9 year old daughter broke them so easily (they came apart at the top where it is glued). Wanting to avoid my Mothers obvious wrath at this issue, I promptly opened my Amazon app and found this set of 2 sized tongs! And it was half the price of what my Mother paid at the fancy kitchen store.Being a Prime member, these arrived in 2 days! I delivered them to my Mother, who had gone without toast or English Muffins for 2 days now. She is extremely pleased with this new set. She will thrilled to try the small set of tongs, and prefers that to the 12 inch pair.My Mother can eat toast again, I saved a trip to the mall and we are all much happier now. Thank you Amazon! You saved the day 5works Does what it's supposed to. My kids eat an obscene amount of waffles because they have sensory issues and can't eat very much, but this makes it so that I don't burn my hands on the toaster or a random molten fake blueberry. I wish I had gotten something like this sooner, but I'm glad to have it now. 5Simple This was one of those suggested add on items when I purchased a new toaster. For 3 bucks I figured it might be nice to have.I didn't think I would use it as much as I do now. I store it in the drawer under the toaster so it's always nearby. Hot toast never really bothered my fingers, and my toaster's ejector pushes up to give more access to the bread, but I now use these tongs each and every time. If you are going to throw the tongs in a drawer full of a million other kitchen tools you don't use, it's not worth it to dig it out. My toaster just happens to have a drawer underneath with not much else in it. (Menus and a drying mat)I mean, it's 3 bucks, and it's not going to be life changing. However, it's worth the $3 if you are buying a new toaster and won't have to spend 2 minutes trying to find these each time. 5Great value! Well, it's not so easy to go on and on about a pair of toast tongs. You squeeze them and pull your toast out of the toaster...However, if you look around, there is an amazing range of prices for bamboo toast tongs, and this product is distinguished by being on the low-- in fact, the VERY low-- end of that range. All bamboo toaster tongs work pretty much the same. All of them require pretty much the same care. All of them last pretty much the same amount of time. To me, this means it's best to buy the lowest price ones available.These tongs are a great value, and I'd happily buy them again. 5Easy to use toaster tongs I'll leave a review as simple as this product. You want to get toast out of a toaster? Any toaster, no matter how slim/fat the slots are? And you obviously don't want to burn yourself, that's why you're looking at these in the first place. Here you go. Seriously, just buy these and you can grab your bagels, muffins, toast, or whatever else you stick in your toaster with ease. Easy to use, easy to grab things with, and easy to clean.Why it took me so long to buy this, I'll never know. I bet you're probably thinking the same thing. As silly as it is, this is now a "in rotation" kitchen device. 5Attention Ploggers! I've been taking part in the International Movement of Plogging AKA cleaning up the streets while out walking or jogging. Bought these tongs to make it easy for me to grab kazillion cigarette butts on the ground and any other garbage. Works like a charm! Highly recommended. Also I have Muscular Dystrophy and these tongs are long enough to make grabbing something on the floor easier. For me easier than the huge ungainly grabbers for the elderly or disabled. Still have to bend a bit (which I still can) but much easier. You can pick up a lollipop stick with these. 5Wish I knew about these years ago! All those years were filled with unplugging the toaster and turning it upside down to shake the toast out when it was stuck. Even when it wasn't stuck it was a matter of grabbing the toast or bagels with 2 fingers and slinging it on the plate as fast as possible to minimize the burn. I finally decided to look for a pair of tongs to do the job and fortunately I found these! They are long enough to keep your fingers far away from the toaster and made of strong bamboo that should last for many years. They are also good for getting small/light items out of the microwave such as a bag of microwave popcorn that is steaming hot. A must for every kitchen! 5No more electrocution when removing toast Works perfectly well for toast. We tried a few different types because our first purchase of a different brand was not a good choice. These are in the top 2 (of admittedly 4 that we tried).No more the tried and true "operation" method using butter knives! 5Great for children learning to use a toaster, I have been looking for these for years at various stores and I have had no luck finding them. I finally realized I needed to get some when my autistic daughter was about to remove a waffle from the toaster with a fork. Thankfully Amazon had some and they arrived quickly. I am kind of a rebel and even though they recommend washing with soap and water by hand I put them in my dishwasher and I have not had any issues. My daughter now knows that when she makes something in the toaster she needs to use the tongs to remove the item. 5
