A few taps to the side of the mortar with the pestal.... And it broke in half.... Not happy at all. Will not recommend or reorder.Hoping gorilla glue will at least hold it together for a dust collector. 1tossed them into the Mortar and BAM - the result was amazing! Much better flavor Grew the herbs then tried to mash'em, dice'em, slice'em - arrrrghhh. Got this Marble Mortar and Pestle; pulled the leaves off the plant, tossed them into the Mortar and BAM - the result was amazing! Much better flavor, use less than the dehydrated bottle spices... Well packed [it's heavy] quick ship. If you cook, highly recommend this inexpensive difference maker. 5Excellent Pill Crusher I take care of my 96 year old Dad with dementia. Believe it or not he us on zero medication. We do give him Tylenol PM at night. I was crushing the pills with a spoon on the counter. Then I got a pill crusher and it was never fine enough. If you need to crush a tablet this is your saving grace. This crushes it so fine it truly dissolves in his sour juice to hide the flavor. Occasionally he gets an antibiotic and I am confident this will crush the tablet to hide it in ice cream. **one thing -the bottom is rough and some of the pill sticks in the crevices. I pour juice in it rub the pestle around to pull up the bits. 5Very well made and beautiful to behold Very well made and beautiful to behold! Promises to be around a very long time. Very pleased customer. 5Used this for hair chalk, worked great! I bought this for a weird purpose, but it works great! I use this to crush my hair chalk and mix it water, to make it easier to apply to my hair. Surprisingly, it's super easy and turns out way better than just rubbing it on my hair. This Marble Mortar and Pestle were really simple to use and worked quickly. I just put the hair chalk in and started smashing. It's smooth on the outside, and rough on the inside, for better grip when crushing things. It's pretty heavy also, and stays solidly on the table when in use. Overall, I really like this and highly recommend it. 5Great product for a great price I bought this in order to crush up my dog's medicine to mix with his food. I love this product. It's well made and exactly as described. The ridges in the bowl really help to crush the pills and you just tap the bottom lightly and any powder that is resting in the grooves comes right out. All in all, I'm very please with the price and overall product. I would definitely recommend this to someone who isn't grinding a lot up at one time since, it's not that big but for small pills like me, this is perfect! 5Pestle cracked after 8 months The end of the pestle cracked and chipped off after 8 months of very light use. See photo below. 1Works just as I expected Very nice, perfect for grounding up my dry spices and leaves. I thought having little bit of texture inside the bowl might stain from grounding herbs, but it has always cleaned up just like new. I found this one after a lot of searching, comparing prices and reviews to be the a great product for the price! 5One Star Came quickly, but came broken. 1Good solid small set A very nice easy to clean set. The pestle seems a little large for the mortar, but seems to work fine. Works great for pesto although due to its small size it's necessary to make in a couple batches. If you're looking for a set that has a very small footprint then this is great. If you're looking to make big batches of items you'll want a larger set. 5
