    I LOVE this! This is a great product! We recently bought a house on 1/2 acres and there are tons of leaves and sticks everywhere! It took me a few minutes to get comfortable using these but I got the hang of it pretty fast. It scoops up pinecones, leaves, moss, dirt, everything! My 4 year old daughter even uses it to scoop up leaves. My boyfriend has even used them to scoop up chunks of fiberglass! 5Great For Picking Up Thorny Rose Cuttings! I LOVE these! I do a LOT of gardening and I hate raking leaves - it is my least favorite thing to do outdoors - it is right up there with going to the dentist for me - well - and dusting. I hate it as much as dusting. Well, I know these are for leaves but I found a new use for them today. I cut my rose bushes way back because the Japanese Beatles have arrives and are munching on the roses - so to send them on their way to find other food somewhere else - or perhaps they will starve and fall out of the sky - I cut all the blooms and buds off "laughing the evil laugh". If you have pruned many rose bushes, you know long glove help - but the thrones can still stick you - but not through these - yay! I used them to pick up all of my rose cuttings. It was fabulous! They are big enough and stiff enough to even scrap about on the ground with them to get the bits up. So glad I got them. 5Scoops versus chute This tool is very handy for loading a garden cart or an expanded wheelbarrow with leaves.Unless you have a tractor/lawn mower to chop them up in place, you might benefit from some tips for products on Amazon to move them. If you bag your leaves, get a leaf chute to hold your bag open while you rake them in. With these, you can pick up a large volume of leaves and place them into a bigger container. Otherwise, get a pair of these leaf scoops to pick up leaves after raking them into a pile. With these, you can pick up a moderate volume of leaves to place into a big container. Get a big wheeled container: With a wheelbarrow and a Booster or Expander, you can move 15-40 cubic feet of leaves at a time with a light load on your back. These are low cost and need very little storage space. With the Wheelbarrow Wheelbarrow Expander/Garden Cart Load Carrying Attachment you can rake from the side so there is very little to pick up and it dumps completely like an ordinary wheelbarrow. If you have a strong back, get a large tarp and rake leaves onto it and pull it to your woods, curb/right-of-way, or compost pile. Build a compost pile or look for one in you neighborhood where your leaves become an asset. 5Saves so much time! Wow, I can't believe what a difference these make!! I used to be a die-hard tarp user (raking leaves directly onto a plastic tarp, then dragging it to my compost/yard waste area), but after using these, I'm back to making piles! Raking a pile and using the scoops to fill a large plastic trash can is now the method I'll use. I managed to clean up 1/3 an acre of leaves in a much shorter time than I had expected. Could get a bit tiring if you're tall or unable to bend down easily, but these are lightyears better than trying to scoop with bare hands or against a rake. Great product. 5Why didn't I think of this? When I first saw this product, I thought it was kind of silly looking. But, I have a lot of trees and that means a lot of leaves. After delivery, I found that the scoops are very sturdy, not flimsy, and look to me like they will last a long time. My kids, of course, immediately put them on and started chasing each other around with them as if they were in a low budget production of some Japanese movie monster. Once I retrieved them, I put them to work and I'm really impressed! After using a conventional rake to pull the leaves together into one pile, these scoops made quick work of transferring the leaves to bag or can. As I wrote above, they are well made and look to give years of service. 5these are bright yellow This is the third set of these I've bought . The first two were from Home Depot and were green , a darker green than "forest Green" . but the first set I guess sun rotted of the Ozone got to them , or something , I don't know , but they broke apart . the second set , I lost . I only own an acre , they are probably out there somewhere . Then after checking in several stores and asking , it seem that Home Depot doesn't stock these any more . I was delighted to find that the ones Amazon is selling are bright bright yellow . there is no way in the world I could lose them . Yes , I'm very pleased with these . 5Perfect for their purpose. I purchased the Gardenhome Hand Leaf Rakes, Large Size, several months ago along with an electric leaf shredder. I blow the leaves into a pile and then use the Hand Leaf Rakes to scoop and place the leaves in the shredder. They work great. I can pick up a big bunch of leaves or a smaller bunch leaves depending what will fit in the shredder at the time. I always wear work gloves and the Hand Leaf Rakes have a strap long enough to accommodate. The teeth permit grabbing twigs and small branches that are hidden in the leaves and the shredder can't digest.The plastic is flexible enough to pick up leaves easily and not break. The plastic handles require a little positioning to find the "sweet spot" for a gloved hand but this is easy to accomplish.I recommend these Gardenhome Hand Leaf Rakes. I haven't tried any of the others that Amazon sells so I can't make comparisons but I know that I am happy with these. I would purchase these again without hesistation. 5quick clean up! I am so glad I bought these. They work really well! I rake all my leaves & weeds into a pile then use these topick it up. The little blades on the bottom allow you to keep raking the pile until you get it all cleaned up. Myhubby makes fun of me when I use them, but they do the job that I need them to do. They have plenty of spacefor your hand to fit under the handles & you don't have to get your hands all nasty. 4Good value I chose these for their utility and their low price. The plastic isn't exactly heavy duty, but I managed to fill three lawn & leaf bags with black walnuts and other yard debris using them, and they held up nicely. They seem likely to last at least several seasons. They make it a lot easier to pick up substantial amounts of yard waste than the usual rake-and-work-gloves method. I'd recommend them. 4One of the best gadgets ever! After reading reviews for various leaf scoops, I chose this pair and immediately put them to work! We live in the country, and many leaves had accumulated near our house and under bushes over the winter months, and I cleared them all, much more quickly than I could have with a traditional rake. I filled the trailer behind our garden tractor seven times, so I believe I gave the set a very good trial run! Three reasons I chose this pair are: reasonable price, the "claw" edges, and color. I'll elaborate on two of the reasons. First, the claws are amazing! They can scratch ground like a rake, but leaves don't become entangled in them. I was amazed at the amount of leaves that could be scooped at one time! This makes them far more efficient than a rake. I also found them easier to use in a graveled area around the house, without becoming caught in rocks, than a traditional rake. (These will not replace a traditional rake entirely; they were definitely not designed to rake a large area, but rather to scoop quantities of leaves and debris. Because my arms are short, I raked out leaves that were deep within the bushes with the garden rake, but gathered them up with the scoops.) I also learned, accidentally, that they're AWESOME for scooping up fallen walnuts! I discovered a squirrel's cache, and scooped up the walnut shells easily and efficiently (previously a hand-picking job, definitely not possible with a garden rake.) When the walnuts fall at the end of summer, it will be a cinch to scoop them up quickly. As for the color, one reviewer discouraged getting a green colored set, because the scoops could be lost in green grass. I dropped my scoop set twice, when I left them on top of my scooped leaves in the trailer, but they were easily found, due to the bright red color. I have small arthritic hands, and I slid my whole hand under the plastic strap, so the strap fit across the back of my hand (I wore gardening gloves), and it was comfortable and effective for me to use. When I took the scoops out of the box, I thought they might be too small to be effective, but they were perfect! I was able to scoop a much larger batch of leaves at a time than a traditional rake could, and none of the leaves were lost, conveying them to the trailer where I dumped them. As you can see in the photo accompanying the listing, there are holes for hanging the scoops on a nail. The scoops nest together and easily will hang on one nail. I couldn't be more delighted with my scoop set! 5
