Just what I wanted!After watching the Pioneer Woman (on the Food network) use a flat whisk for pretty much everything, I wanted one for myself! Now that I have this one I think it's much better than a regular whisk. This one is excellent, and although it's a little shorter in length than my regular whisks, it still does a better job, especially for making sauces or gravy. 5Smaller than the photo makes them look, but real handy in a pinchCame as described. These things are *teeny*, make no mistake. I wouldn't use them to beat an egg if there were a fork nearby. That said, for the price they've come in handy quite a lot. For small-quantity dips and sauces they're very handy, and for tasks like stirring Thai chilis into fish sauce or ground pepper into mayonnaise they're perfect. Happy that I bought them.The comments about rusting are absolutely right. Hand-wash only, do not put them in the dishwasher. Mine have no rust, but only because I noticed a few specks after one run through the washer and never did that again. 4It mixesThe product seems to do what it was intended to do as a mixer but it feels real flimsy in the hand almost as if it would bend or break if you apply too much pressure. I beat a bowl of eggs and it did its job although the gnarly part seems to move from the curved edge so you may have to reposition it. 3Doesn't lay flat on the bottom of the panI was really excited about this whisk, thinking it would get into the corners of the pan, but the only part that consistently touches the bottom of the pan is the very center of the whisk, just like any other whisk. The one I saw at my daughter's house had a recessed bottom so the corners of the whisk made contact with the pan, but on this one the bottom center is too high, and hits the pan first so you have to work to get contact with the corners into the corner of the pot. 2Excellent product. Very useful.I love this. I was a bit dubious when ordering - having never had a whisk this shape. I have fond this to be much more useful than a standard balloon whisk. This flattened shape is excellent for smaller amounts ie. two eggs, a small amount of dressing; or in small or low sided vessels. Works very well in saute pan for sauce or roux. Seems to be truly all stainless steel, so doesn't rust. And the area where wires meet handle seems to be well closed - I have seen no evidence of water in handle. 5Broke in 3 weeks of useI looked at a lot of flat bottom whisks for making fudge, this is not the one. The handle broke off from the whisk part in less than a month. I was disappointed. I found another whisk that I love to replace it, but won't be buying anymore of these. I did not do the heavy duty stirring with this whisk either on the fudge. It just didn't hold up. It was a great price so I got what I paid for. I bet if it was just for eggs it might work. But I really put kitchen tools to work and this one got fired! 1Just what I needed!I've been looking for a mini whisk to scramble eggs and such . . . should have known one would be available from Amazon! Just do not enjoy real shopping so Amazon is a 'go to' for me. This is sturdier and a much better quality than expected. Fox Run offers any size from ex-large to tiny. I use these for mixing something every day. The hang loop gives multiple storage solutions. I use a wooden (folding type) rack for dish washing so I added a small cup hook for easy access.Accurate images and product description.I haven't had any problems described in some of the reviews (in use for four months) . . . no rust, no metal flecks and they haven't fallen apart! My son thought they were a fun addition to his bar implements. He hasn't had any problems either. Durable enough to fluff scramble 2 eggs for an omelet, mix powered milk and salad dressing. The product description does indicate that they are the same size and metal is listed as stainless steel. They are just what I needed!A fun gift option for chef type friends/family! 5Great to get to the bottom/sides of your panOne limitation of some standard whisks is they can't get into the corners of some pans, or if you're whisking a shallow liquid, not mush of the whisk is in contact. It is easy to scorch things like creme pat., since you can't get to the corners of the pan. This one solves both problems in that the radius at the edge of the whisk is small, so it can get into most slightly rounded corners, like pans. Also, the flat bottom profile lets you get a lot of whisking on small quantities of mixture. I have a dozen or more whisks and this is one of my favorites. 5You've got me all mixed up..Be still my heart.. I'm an avid home cook and thought I was on the up and up of kitchen gadgets, until one day watching an episode of pioneer woman she pulled out a flat whisk. I said WHAT IS THAT BEAUTIFUL CREATURE!?I have a lifelong hate of standard whisks, so necessary but such a pain in the butt. They take up much more than their fair share of the utensil drawer, they're a pain to clean it something makes its way into the inner dome. This works just the same and takes up less space and cleans as easy as a spoon. It's lasted countless recipes and I love it very much. 5This will become an indispensable kitchen tool!This is perfect! I have medium sized hands and the handle is comfortable. The head is the right size to work in a saucepan or making batter. If you want this to mix batters that have chunks of things like whole fresh blueberries they won't get stuck but the tiny blueberry pieces that come in boxes of pancake mix might but just tap it on the edge of the bowl and anything pops out. I use this to make sauces, puddings, batters and for beating eggs much faster and more thoroughly than using a fork. Washes nicely in dishwasher. I find myself using it so much I'm ordering a second one. 5
