Customer Reviews

Great teapot I didn't like the way it looks in pictures, I like more modern shapes. I got it because of the size, good reviews, and the fact that the infuser is supposed to get pretty close to the bottom of the pot, so the leaves remain in water after you pour the first cup (this is important when you are making concentrate tea but you want to have a quick cup first, because you need your tea NOW!).It looks better in person than in pictures. After using it for a few months it has really grown on me. The design is so well thought out that you end up loving the thing. The smooth way the lid opens, the quality of the infuser, the large handle that doesn't burn your hands, the little metal edge on the infuser that you can hold when you're removing the leaves, the perfect execution of the shape and color, etc. So overall I'm very happy with this purchase. It does drip a little though. They could have done a better job with that. If it didn't drip it would have been a solid 5 star teapot in my opinion. 4Great little teapot! This teapot has two features that I really love. First, the basket has a little handle so I don't have to gingerly haul it out of the pot when the tea is done steeping. Second, the silicone gasket on the lid fits snugly both with the basket in it and with the basket out - no more having to hold the lid on the teapot as I pour. The only drawback to this pot is the infuser - I would much prefer a wire mesh infuser to a solid stainless infuser with tiny holes punched in it. The mesh is much easier to clean. 5Excellent teapot, could stay hot longer (but so could all teapots...) There are hundreds of teapots, each with brag some elaborate technology for infusing, staying hot longer, and whatnot. They are usually overpriced. This, without being ugly, is very functional.pros:-really nice strainer. Durable, fine, fits very well into the pot, and has a tab so that you don't burn yourself when removing it- lid has a plastic lip for a tighter fit, which will even take the strainer out with it if you want to avoid any heat contact- Good size- cleans easily- durable (i've dropped the lid a few times and its never chipped or cracked)- **pours well** this cannot be overstated. The number of terrible designed spouts is absurd. You'd think it wasn't that hard, but I guess it is. FORLIFE has it down, and as long as you don't try to pour at full tilt, it comes out perfectly.cons:- It doesn't stay hot that that long. Not that other teapots are better in this regard, but given the size one can be expected to be drinking from it long enough that it is not hot enough at the end. I would advise getting a teapot warmer (st fchen) for this or any other teapot.- perhaps not the worlds most elegant object, but its a teapot and doesn't need to be glitzy. All in all, this is 4.5 stars. 4Cute, practical, and perfect size for tea for 2 This teapot is the perfect amount for 2 very full mugs of tea. This and the "stump" version are clones of the Fritz and Rosie teapots by Alison Appleton, which are about $60 shipped from the UK. The fact that it has an actual teapot lid and not a metal flap makes it more appealing to me than the "stump" version. The strainer is a nice fine mesh that when using fine cut spearmint leaves only left small powdery debris through. The lid fits beautifully with or without the strainer in. The pot stays warm for a decent amount, given its size. Very happy with the purchase and would recommend. 5Cracked Within a Year I bought this teapot last year and have been quite satisfied with it until now. I like the infuser and the gray color. The size was right for me and seal around the lid makes pouring that last cup less stressful. I have always washed the teapot by hand and on the most recent occasion, I noticed that a crack had formed at the top of the handle where the material is thinnest. For the money, I expected it to last longer. 2Excellent teapot with a good infuser. This is by far the best teapot I own. Well... I own three of them but they are the best. The infuser has micro sized holes so even the smallest bits of tea or herbs stay put. You can use it under your Keurig or other type of brewer for hot water or it can be put in the microwave (without the infuser). I have lots of teapots including the infamous "Brown Betty" that was purchased in England. This is my go to teapot and sees daily use. It is pricey but worth it. You have lots of different color options with this teapot, as well as a larger size for the whole family if needed. 5I read the reviews and knew I'd purchase The Curve is perfectly designed. The teapot I received is a silky smooth glossy ceramic pot without imperfections. The color turquoise is a soft soothing color exactly as shown in the first image for this color choice. The lid fits well for pouring yet not too tight to easily remove. A tiny hole is in the lid for steam to escape. The spout pours perfectly. I like that the infuser can be removed for serving - or, displaying the pot when not in use. (Years ago I purchased the Stump design and was disappointed that the metal hinge could not be removed.) I typically heat my filtered water in this ceramic pot to just below boil in the microwave and seep a bag or loose tea using the infuser. The handle does not get hot from the microwave and the pot can be safely removed from the oven. This 24-ounce pot is perfect for my two servings. 5WOW! Just received my 'carrot' color 24 ounce Curve, teapot, and was so excited when I opened the box. It is stunningly beautiful, I will agree with another reviewer that the 'carrot' color is a bit more intense than pictured, it is a beautiful happy, bright orange, high gloss and very classy, and I couldn't be happier. The filter is a very strong stainless steel, so it won't dent if you hold it too tight, and the holes, as said, are very tiny, any smaller and you wouldn't get a good steep. For Life has really put so much thought into these teapots, and it shows. The lid will not come off until you 'pull' it off, it has a clear silicone ring around it, so when putting it on, it doesn't clang, as glass against itself, it's padded by the ring and goes down ever so softly, and that ring gets under the rim of the pot, holding it securely, it's pure genious, why didn't anyone think of this before? You can hold the teapot upside down and the lid doesn't even budge! They also drilled a tiny air hole into the lid for better pouring since the lid sits so snugly, my other teapots have the lid sloshing left and right when moved. I quickly made some tea to test it out, so glad the weather cooled off, and the spout doesn't drip in the least, I did have 1 drop just hanging at the mouth, I moved the pot and it dropped off. The teapot keeps the tea nice and hot, and I didn't have a problem with the tab on the infuser being too hot to hold when removing. I like the fact that the inside is the same beautiful color as the outside, I wouldn't want to put this in a dishwasher, it doesn't need that much washing, takes all of 30 seconds to wash it with a mild soap, if you don't have 30 seconds.....you need a vacation, lol. If you think this teapot is too expensive, it isn't, for the quality you get, the depth of color, style, design, worth every penny, I will definately be buying some for gifts and for myself. I'll be going through some of my other teapots that are no longer worthy of tea making and replace them with For Life, thank you Amazon for providing such good service and providing a venue where people can make an informed decision on a product before they purchase. 5This pot is perfect for tea for one This is the perfect teapot for breakfast or afternoon tea for one person. This is actually a second purchase (and I bought 2 this time) as I dropped and broke my first pot. I love this pot. I cannot say enough good things about it. I love good, loose tea. Once or twice a year, I place a large order for different types of loose tea. One of my favorite times of the day is afternoon tea. The pot is well made, and the infuser keeps loose tea residue out of the cup. Could not ask for a better teapot. 5Great Teapot As I've moved away from drinking coffee on a daily basis I've been drinking more tea, and went on the hunt for a teapot I could use with loose leaf tea. After reading the reviews I decided to give this one a try, and I'm glad I did. It's dishwasher safe, which makes cleaning it a breeze, and the infuser does a good job containing the leaves unlike others I've tried where the leave manage to escape. (Smaller tea particulates will get through, but that's as I expected). It holds the heat pretty well too.The only con I've found is that the teapot can get quite hot (like a mug when you've using a tea bag and add boiling water to the mug), so make sure you hold it by the handle after you add the boiling water. Also, the lid will fall off when pouring the last cup if the infuser is not in the pot, so make sure you keep a hand on the lid when pouring if you've removed the infuser. 5
