The product is BETTER than the crap I went to Walmart and bought for 4x the price because "I just couldn't wait". Well, don't I feel stupid, because the Crucial Vacuum stuff came in the mail the next day! They're fast! This is the real deal and if I read any thing to the contrary, I'll be shocked. 5Best generic I have tried, just as good as name brand. I have bought many generic brand filters for my Eureka Airspeed 1000 vacuum. This one is the best, fits perfectly. Some of the others don't click into place, although all have been just as sturdy (or better) than the name brand one that came with the vacuum. Great price. No reason for me to spend more on the name brand. After all, three years ago I bought the vacuum with the hope that I would save money by not having to buy vacuum bags anymore. So I don't want to spend more money on filters. I will buy this one again. Except now I just looked and the filter increased in price!! Irritating. I was going to stock up since I finally found one that worked perfectly. 5Lasts maybe 3 months if you vacuum a lot, or have pets Not sure why this is titled as a "long-life" vacuum filter---it lasts only around 3 months if you do a lot of vacuuming (even with frequent cleaning of the filter). After that much use, it's harder to get reasonably clean so I then replace it. True, it's a lot cheaper than the branded filters Eureka wants to sell me, so I'm still OK with the value. 3they work, they're cheap, and REUSABLE You buy a bagless vacuum because you're tired of changing bags. Then you find out you have to change filters on the reg. Replacement filters can get expensive, but this solves the biggest filter problem...buying them. It's cheap, saving you money, and it's reusable...saving you MORE money! Not sure how many times I can reuse it yet, but I'll update it when it's done. 5These work great and second round of 4, I replace a filter every couple months. This is the second time I have bought these. I actually prefer these over the Eureak brand or any others that I have tried.These have held up very well and also help with order control because of my dog. 5Washable Allergen Filters Designed to Fit Eureka DCF-21 Great quality dust cup filters for my Eureka 4230 Series Vacuum. These filters are comparable to Eureka Part Number 68931 at a fraction of the cost of the Eureka brand. Since these filters are washable, many uses are possible, which reduces the cost per unit considerably. 5Great buy Love these filters. I order two at a time and still pay about the same as the brand name for my vacuum even at WalMart. Since these are reusable, I don't have to order as often which is nice since the kitty has been shedding more than normal with the warmer weather. I keep this particular item in my records so that when I put the second one in, I can re-order so I don't get caught and have to pay the higher cost at local retail stores. I would highly recommend this product. 5DO NOT BUY this filter. Does NOT fit. Gasket is too thin. I agree with William C. Spaulding, Oct 24, 2012 review. Filter does not lock into canister head/dust cup. However William was wrong when he said tabs are too short, it is the gasket on the end that is too thin. The gasket is half the thickness it should be, therefore, does not "push" tabs into the locking notch. The gasket acts like a "spring" locking filter into notches which also seals the filter to the head.I do design for a living, but this is just such a blatant change that effects fit and function. This would have never happened at where I work and if it did, we would not ship out the part until it was corrected or returned to the vendor. Someone at the manufacturer was trying to save a penny (or less) a filter and turned it into a unusable piece of trash. They could apply a second gasket onto the first to build it up to the correct thickness.I will not put tape on the tabs because the gasket seal is very important to the performance of the vacuum. Crucial Vacuum needs to stop selling these, refund or replace the "defective" filters with "good" filters free of charge. Then Crucial has to get the supplier to correct the defective gasket or return them to P.R.O.C. (People's Republic Of China), YUP, made in China.I felt good about buying from Crucial Vacuum because, in the past, I purchased allergen vacuum bags from Crucial. This has left a really bad taste in my mouth in trusting this brand again. When I put in a request to return the item, they expect me to pay the return shipping! I sent them a message requesting a prepaid return label or just refund purchase price. I will update this review, on how Crucial vacuum handles this whole mess.Update 30 October. Crucial Vacuum is issuing a refund. But never mentioned if they were going to correct the filter thickness issue which can be remedied by attaching another gasket over the existing gasket to "build up" the gasket to the correct thickness. Raised stars to 2 because they issued a refund immediately. 2DCF-21 Filter Fits our Eureka vacuum perfectly and is half the price as buying in-store. Not sure where the "washable" comes in, because it's not really worth the time and effort to try and clean it. They're cheap enough on Amazon to just buy another one. We've bought four and will continue to do so until our vacuum gives out. 5
