I've used this both in the summer and winter and it does great in both climates! I will deff but again when needed. 5It's A Heavenly Cloud We got this in the mail three nights ago after our old lightweight poly-fill duvet from Target finally bit the dust, and this duvet (Cara Clark) is nothing short of a heavenly cloud. We have a queen bed and ordered the king: perfect fit...hangs over the sides by almost a full square, comes up to our pillows and can still be tucked under a little at the end of the bed to stay put. It was so fluffy when it came out of the box that my first thought was that it is going to be way too warm for us since my husband sleeps at 650,000 degrees and I'm always cold but get hot mid-sleep. We keep our house around 68 at night. However, I have slept better the past three nights than I have in years. No joke. You can barely tell the duvet is on, it's so light! VERY breathable and VERY soft. It's so pretty on the bed that you could use it without a cover, truly. We LOVE this duvet. By it but it! 5A big letdown from Clara I love Clara Clark sheets. This comforter just isn't as soft. It's $30.00, so I wasn't expecting a miracle, but I had 2 major problems which is why I returned it:1) I ordered a King/California King - this is not even an option because the info packet that comes with the comforter states the largest size available is a King. This did not begin to cover my Cal King bed. Fail.2) I don't like to receive linens with a dirt footprint on them. Just saying.Now if you get the correct size and a package that hasn't been walked on, you might be in fairly decent shape. 2Not a happy camper:( ... but Amazon made it better :) Pros: Very soft and luxurious feeling especially for the price. A beautiful light aqua color which I love. Came with two very soft king pillow shams.Cons: If you have a pet (in my case, dog) the material is not strong enough to prevent their nails from making little holes in the fabric. Also, the fabric seems to attract pet hair. For now it's fine but I hope the tiny holes do not get bigger :(So, a GREAT buy if you don't have a dog, or if you can keep your dog off of the bed.UPDATE: After the first wash, the material shredded in some places :( ... I was past the return window, but thankfully Amazon is shipping me a new replacement. This time I'll dry clean or spot clean... DO NOT put in your washing machine/dryer to prevent fabric damage or shredding. 3Low quality, acceptable for a guest room For the price, in a rarely used guest bedroom, it looks fine. It's soft and bright white, but its very thin and airy. It is definitely not double stuffed as advertised, it is the type of comforter that you would use during the summer here in the deep South. After reading reviews of it running small, I bought a queen size. It is barely large enough for a full size bed. It came extremely wrinkled and with a strong plastic smell. I'm hoping both will dissipate in the next few days. For being sold at Walmart and Target for around $30, I don't know how Amazon came up with the $199 retail price.I'm not overly satisfied, but like I said, for the price and for use in a guest bedroom, it is acceptable. 2Light weight, soft, and very warm This comforter is the best I've owned. It is light weight yet very warm. I have owned several other brands and the Clara Clark is the best for the price. I sleep with the window open and even in the middle of a New Jersey winter, I'm very comfortable. I ordered the Navy Blue and the color is beautiful and is true to the picture. I have a twin bed but I ordered the queen size comforter because I'm a restless sleeper and I wanted to make sure my (ahem) posterior wasn't uncovered to the cool breeze. The queen fits my twin bed perfectly for my taste as it drapes down each side until it is almost touching the floor. If you look at the product's picture you will see what I mean. If you imagine the picture as my twin bed with the queen size comforter, you will understand what I mean by almost touching the floor. The microfiber covering is quite soft and the stitching holds the fill in place. I've not yet washed/dried the comforter so I can't give an opinion on how well the comforter holds up. All in all, I'm very happy with my comforter and I recommend it highly. When the time comes, I'll order another. 5Lining bunches up easily I just got this in king sized white today, read the tag and washed and dryed it as directed (as I always do with any product I'm going to put against my body). The stuffing in the squares bunched up in many of the squares so I've been trying to beat the stuffing back down. Unfortunately, I didn't pay close attention to whether the stuffing bunched up in the washer or the dryer...It is very lightweight, which is what I expected for the price and great for down South where it's not too cold. I already had figured out that it is NOT a duvet, but is a "very very lightweight comforter". 3I would save your money and buy something else. ... I would save your money and buy something else. I have had this now for 2 years. Here is what I have to say about it.It is short. We ordered the king size, for our king size bed. The comforter barely covers the edges of the bed. The description here says it is 88 inches wide. I just measured, and it is actually 84 inches. The filling is cheap, and has bunched up. Each sewn in square had a huge lump of filling, leaving the rest of the square bare. I have only washed this think once (as we use a cover for it). And it was line dried. It should not have shrunk, or bunched up the filling inside the comforter. I am currently looking for a replacement. I wish I would have saved my money on this purchase, and just paid for a nicer quality. 1Warm and fluffy This is a nice, warm, fluffy duvet. I purchased a regular King for our Cal King bed, knowing that we are probably going to swap bed sizes before we get a new duvet, and it actually fits just fine. My husband and I like it being roomier on the sides, and it covers the bed top to bottom very adequately.I really like how the down alternative is sewn into little squares so that all of the filling doesn't fall to one side. This happened with out last duvet, and we could never get it back in quite the right shape. It also has ties in the corners to better secure it to the insides of a duvet cover.As I mentioned, this duvet is very warm-actually too warm in the late spring and summer. (Amazing in the winter though!) If you need a little weight on your body to sleep like I do, I suggest adding a light, thin blanket over your sheet and under the duvet for warmer months. My husband needs more weight on him than I do in order to sleep, and he says this isn't weighty enough, so in the winter he puts another blanket on top not for warmth, just for the weight. 4Still going strong after 5 years!! I've owned this duvet since 2012 and 5 years later it's still going strong!!!I love how it's perfect for every season. I don't have to have a winter and summer duvet. Just the one works perfectly.I've washed it every week for 5 years and not one tear or lose stitch.I got the white one and after 5 years it's a bit discolored but it's been in a duvet cover so that doesn't bother me. I can't use bleach with how sensitive my skin is but if you did I'm sure it would bring it back to the true white.I am contemplating getting a new one and using this one for my guests.All in all, amazing value for your money!! 5
