Good storage bags with a few inconveniences Overall these are quality milk storage bags in that they are made of heavy duty material, don't leak, they stand up on their own, and they have clear space for labeling each bag. However, the measurement lines are not accurate no matter how I try to adjust the bag (not a huge deal since you can label the volume on the bag). Also, many of the bags do not open when I tear off the perforated part and I have to use scissors to open the top of the bag, which is a little inconvenient. Overall a good product though and I am not unhappy with them. They serve their purpose well in that they store breastmilk securely without leaking! 4These bags are great! I used to use lanisoh bags for my ... These bags are great! I used to use lanisoh bags for my first 2 babies and most of those bags would leak as I was defrosting them. I don t know why I kept using them for so long. These bags are thicker and stiffer (though I ve never had a problem with them scratching or cutting me as another reviewer mentioned). I will say the measuring lines are off on these bags (always falls between 1/2 to a full ounce more than I have compared to my pump bottles and feeding bottles). But that doesn t bother me since I see the amount on my pump bottles and write that amount on the bag before filling. I also lay my bags flat to freeze anyway so that they defrost faster... so I wouldn t see what they d measure to in the storage bag once frozen anyway. So I m sticking with 5 stars.Also, I read some people saying they were frustrating to open. There s a trick. Instead of explaining, I ll add a video. 5I am about to order my third box of these bags I am about to order my third box of these bags, and I can't say enough good things about them. I have never once in 5 months had a leak, they feel super secure when you ziplock them shut, and a clear area for labeling them with baby's name, date, time of day, and ounce amount. If you squeeze the air out of them as you zip them up, then lay them horizontally in your freezer when you pop them in there, they get good and flat for easier future storage (I pop a bunch into a bigger ziplock storage bag so they don't get lost in the freezer).One important thing: When I was researching which bags to buy originally (there are so many brands...) I saw a lot of complaints about most brands that the ounce measurement printed on the bag seems inaccurate. I don't think *any* brands have a reliable measurement system, to be honest, including this one. If for some reason the milk isn't already in a breast pump bottle before I pour it into the bag, I usually put it into a breast pump bottle in order to get the right ounce measurement, then pour it into the bag and label it. I've always found it easier to pump into the regular bottles, vs. try to rig up a system where I could pump straight into these bags, because it is just so much easier to add that little step vs. rigging up a system and risking that the bag slips off while you're pumping. Plus, that assures accurate measurements.GOOD LUCK PUMPING, MAMAS! 5Perfect breastmilk bags and for a great price! I was really excited to get these bags in the mail. I am on my second child and try to store as much breastmilk as I can. To finally find a storage bag that goes to 8oz which is the size of a full size Dr. Browns bottle was great. Most all other bags only go to 7oz for the newer Babies R Us bags or 6oz for the Nuk and Medela bags. So the 8oz measurements alone made this a great bag for me. By the time I'm using my stored milk my babies are drinking full bottles so it's never made sense why other bags don't go to 8oz making it difficult to thaw multiple bags of milk and try not to waste any. Also these bags aren't made out of the flimsy plastic like the Nuk bags or the old BRU bags but they are a thick plastic that once you pour milk in them are strong enough to stand up on a counter on their own. They have the double zipper seal as well just like most other storage bags and seem to be holding up well. Also for the retail price of $19.99 you get 110 bags that hold more breastmilk and for other brands you get smaller quantities for a higher price and the bags hold less; so you get a much better value out of these. After having tried all the other brands out there I'm sold on these moving forward. The price is good, they are the only ones I've found to hold 8oz and the plastic is thick and stands up on its own.I received this item at a discount for my honest review but I'll be paying full price for my next box as these bags are worth it. 5Maybe I received a bad batch... I guess I got a bad batch of bags. When I first used the bags, I thought they were good until the second day. They were not sealed properly. It seems like every other few bags are not sealed properly. I've wasted about 16-24 oz of milk using these bags. I'm exclusively pumping, so it's very disappointing to come across bags that aren't sealed well. I am working very hard to provide milk for my child, and the last thing I need is added stress from bags not being sealed at the bottom. I've contacted customer service. Let me start by verifying my credentials as a crazy pumping, full-time working mom. I have tried countless brands of breast milk bags, countless. I fe l as if I am an expert at determining what bags are actually good quality. These bags are by far the best bags I have been introduced to. They are not only affordable, but sure are durable. I have had several thin plastic breads milk bags tear or pop, and gosh is that just the worst feeling ever. These bags are my lifeline because I pump four times a day, five days a week while working. I didn t realize the importance of having durable milk bags until I started trying to cut corners and buy the ones readily available at Walmart and target. I swear by these bags, they are the best value made of quality material. Just feel one of these bags compared to a different brand and you ll know what I mean. I have learned from trial and error, so save yourself the error and try these. AND NO! My review was not completed by a robot or a friend of the company. I am a legit fan of this product. 5Does not hold 8oz I originally bought these bags because I wanted to store 8oz of milk and the bags I normally use only hold 6oz. My son is getting older and slowly requiring more and more at his feeds and for my sitters convenience I wanted her to only have to defrost one bag instead of two to meet my son's needs.The first day I used these bags I pumped 8 oz, blew in the bag to make sure it was fully expanded, but when I poured the milk in it filled the bag making it difficult to close. My milk is precious and a nessessity to my growing baby so I was concerned that the bag wouldn't be able to withstand freezing and beig defrosted without leeking. There was no room in the bag for my milk to expand once it froze. Also, I would like to note that my milk past the 8 oz measurements on the bag.Needless to say I didn't want to waste milk so when I came home I tested the bags. 6oz measures at 7.5oz in these bags. If you are buying these bags so you can store more, then they are not for you. It makes me sad that this company writes on the bag, "because every drop is precious," but falsely avertises. 1Love these bags! I honestly dont understand how someone can give these bags 1 star, maybe they were unfortunate to get a faulty product, but I love my Mommy's Precious. I freeze my bags and I've NEVER once had an issue with leaking bags, I've used more than 100 of these and not a single one has leaked or opened and, since I use the Medela ones when I pump anything under 4oz I use this to store 6oz or more.. I've stored 8oz on more than one occasion and laid them flat to freeze and again not a single one has opened or spilled my milk. They are thick, sturdy and easy to open. They measure correctly as long as you open the bottom in full and you open the bag wide, however, i do not use the lines in the bag to measure my milk, i just go by whatever the bottles say before pumping and that usually works for me. I love love LOVE these bags, I'm on my second box and I like them better than medela or lansinoh which are the other 2 I've tried. 5Holes at bottom of bags I am never one to write negative reviews, but this is unacceptable! 3 times now, I ve poured an entire 5 oz bottle into a brand new bag and the entire thing has come pouring out the bottom! You cannot see that the plastic is not sealed at the bottom until there is pressure on it, and it s too late! Doesn t make for a very happy mama to see liquid gold splattered all over the kitchen floor 3 times! 2Great sturdy bags for larger amounts of milk. This is my third time ordering these storage bags. I'm an exclusive pumper and was using the Kiinde Twist pouches before I realized my deep freezer was getting full. I wanted a bag that can hold as much milk as possible and I chose this brand. Like other posters have noted, the measurements written on the front of the bag aren't accurate, but this doesn't bother me as I measure from my pumping bottle then pour. I always try to fit 300ml/10oz in these, and they fit! The only thing is you have to "bend" one side to fit more. I put several bags of these from the same date and put them in a dated ziploc back and store them in my freezer. I always thaw my milk overnight in the fridge and then transfer into bottles, so I don't have to put them directly in the warmer. I think it works best that way.I have not had a chance to thaw them in these bags yet but I'm sure they will work just fine!*If you are a repeat customer, each box comes with a 10% off coupon. So relieved as the Dr Brown bags I had would have a leak every other bag, which made me very, very upset.
